Thanks for reading. You are right in that we need to address anti-mattering in our communities ad families. Yet, unfortunately, human beings spend almost 35% of their lives (and a majority of their waking lives) working. How people make meaning in work inevitably affects how people make meaning in life. It's why the employee with hobbies and a loving family can plunge into despair when they're degraded or dehumanized daily.

Work simply and statistically dominates where most of human life plays itself out (whether we like it or not). The amount of time one spends with a non-work community pales in comparison to their work communities.

I don't think we're "shifting the burden" at all. When you're responsible for where how someone spends a majority of their lives, yoyou have the burden by default. It's time for business leaders to take responsibility for it.
